Frequently Asked Questions

What should I pack for my stay in treatment?

Our programs are 6 months and 12 months respectively. It is recommended to pack at least 3 week’s worth of clothes and for various weather. It is recommended to have a sweater, a jacket, walking shoes, and hiking shoes. If you are coming directly from incarceration or do not have certain items in your wardrobe we are more than happy to help you purchase these items.

In addition to this because we want you to feel in a home environment, we encourage you to bring family pictures to hang in your room, books, and art supplies if you are an artist. If you are unsure of an item being appropriate to bring, please ask the Program Director.

We do not allow electronics like personal computers, cell phones, or video games. If you bring those they will be stored in your locker in the Case Manager office.

Do I get to use my cell phone or other electronics?

You have access to these items during case management sessions under the supervision of your Case Manager or Site Manager. They are locked up at all other times.

Can I work while I’m in treatment?

No. Treatment at a Behavioral Health Residential Facility is strictly in-patient and all day programming. If you are looking for supportive housing so you can also work, you are actually needed to seek our Sober Living which is a different type of license and programming than we offer at these facilities.

I don’t agree with aspects of your program, and want to try my own way.

In order to do treatment at Greystone, you need to sign a consent that you are willingly participating in our program. It is an all or nothing program. Often times, the parts of the treatment process we are most adverse to, are the parts we need help with most in our life. Consider that before deciding if Greystone is right for you.

If it isn’t, don’t be discouraged. There are many good facilities in the State of Arizona that have different treatments offered, different curriculums and theories applied. Find one that works for you.
